The famous Schneemann (snowman): an obvious allusion to Adalbert (Adi) Schnee, who commanded the submarines U-6, U-60, U-121, U-201 and U-2511, and sank twenty-one merchant ships on twelve patrols, for a total of 90,847 GRT of Allied shipping, and received the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves (although this snowman boasts that very cross, I do not know whether this cross was painted on the existing snowman on a later date or that both were created after the KC ceremony altogether.
