An authentic period-made cap insignia attributed to the highly successful Atlantic U-boat U-203 (commanded by Knight's Cross recipient Rolf Mützelburg). This embroidered piece retains vivid, vibrant colors with minor wear to the delicate gold bullion piping. Original stitch holes remain clearly visible along the edges, evidencing its direct field removal from a sailor's overseas cap (Mütze).
